Amp Auction: Kendrick Aged Tweed Reverb Unit / Tank

Amp Auction Description: Kendrick Tweed Reverb UnitI'm putting my Kendrick Tweed Reverb Unit up for auction. The label inside the cabinet is signed by Gerald Weber and is dated May 1994. It is serial number 299. I believe I am the second owner of this unit. It is in overall excellent condition, showing very little wear considering it is 18 years old. There are only some minor smudges on the tweed. This is a handwired, point-to-point replica of Fender's stand alone Reverb Unit of the 1960's. The tone is absolutley spectacular, going from subtle to surf. It is very addicitve and fun to play. It does not have a footswitch with it. The previous owner did not have one and have had no use for one either. I believe the tubes are Kendrick brand. The only reason I'm selling is because I traded away my last non-reverb amp for another amp with on board reverb, therefore, I have no use for this. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Amp Auction: Satellite Amplifier Helion Hand Painted One of a Kind Tube Amp

Amp Auction Description: Myself (Adam Grimm, owner of Satellite Amplifiers) and a good friend of mine (Eric Sorensen, <a href="link">http://www.espwave.com</a>) decided to create a collaborative project to give something back to the world. I have a few of Eric's paintings and really enjoyed his work, and thought it would be wonderful on an amplifier.I sent Eric one of our standard Helion model amplifiers and an uncovered head box. He asked me what I wanted, and I told him I didn't want to know. I wanted him to have free creative rein to do whatever he wanted to do. He did a marvelous job. The amplifier is one of our standard Helion models. It is a 25 watt all tube amplifier. It consists of a pair of 5881 power tubes, a pair of 12AX7s in the preamp section and a 5AR4 rectifier (switchable to solid state). The amp comes with high and low inputs, and a switchable 4, 8, and 16Ω outputs. The amp uses Mercury Magentics transformers (as do all of our amplifiers), turret board and point to point wiring, carbon comp resistors. The amplifier comes with our standard lifetime warranty on the electronics.Eric told me quite a bit about the painting process. The highlights are that he designed the painting based on his impressions of the amplifier (he had never played this model before). He described the painting as a visual way of describing what he felt the tonal range of the amplifier was. The amplifier was hand painted with water colors, and then a multi layer of lacquer was sprayed over the top to ensure a lifetime of durability. We talked about a number of non-profits that we loved, but I decided to give this to something new. I was doing some research and found the San Francisco Rock Project, and thought it was the perfect fit (Eric spent a bit of time in the bay area over the years, and we both love rock, and have kids). The San Francisco Rock Project is a non-profit designed to help kids from 7-17 learn to play instruments and helps fill the void left by the defunding of the musical education programs in our schools.
