Amp Auction Description: This is a 1973 Traynor YBA-1 Bassmaster. The serial starts with "3". Designed and built by Pete Traynor at Yorkville Amps. This amp is famously known as the "poor man's Plexi". It's a great amp and nails many tones from Marshall JMP's/JTM's and Fender Bassman's. For the money you will not find a better amp for your guitar or bass. Hendrix, SRV, Motorhead, and Reverend Horton Heat, and everything in between are attainable with this amp. This amp is very pedal friendly and is waiting for your TS9! The amp is not modded but if the winner adds a Post Phase Inverter Master Volume, you will get early and possibly modern metal no problem. Break-up around 3-5. Like a the Fender and Marshall this has Low and High channels. 45 watts, Killer tone, PTP wiring, EL34 and 12ax7,Mustard caps, 8 ohms, Speaker out and extension out, non-master volume and many similar circuits similar to the Marshall JMP 50. These amps were made without a bias circuit, and this amp has not been modded with one. The amp was designed for bass but sounds absolutely phenominal with guitar as well. To buy a modern "boutique amp" the starting cost will be at least 3 times this auction's ending price. The amp comes complete with 2 brand new JJ EL34's and 3 Electro Harmonix12AX7's. The power cord has been changed to a 3 prong for ground. Due to the nature and age of this amp, I am selling to the 48 lower United States and selected countries only. International shipping will be expensive. If won or bought internationally, item must be paid for and funds released immediately. All other locations contact me for shipping possibilities.
