Amp Auction Description: Marshall JCM 800 2203x Reissue JCM800  * NO RESERVE * NO RESERVE!!!! Get the amp that started it all. This is a used Marshall JCM 800 2203x Reissue 100 Watt Head. Yes, this one has the effects loop. It is in excellent condition. There are no tears in the tolex or dings in the cabinet and everything works perfectly. There are some VERY MINOR scuffs in the tolex, but nothing major at all. I have provided pictures that clearly show these scuffs. These amps sell for $2000 at the major online stores. Based on the original amp behind Eddie Van Halen's famous "brown sound" from the 1978 to 1990 era, delivering ease of use, the Marshall JCM800 2203x is a single channel guitar amplifier without reverb or any other features to muddy the amps tone. If it's class A tube tone you want, than this is the amp you are looking for!The original 2203 was the first Marshall to feature a Master Volume control, allowing guitarists to crank the preamp for maximum overdrive while keeping the power amp to reasonable listening levels.The tone is very thick and crunchy, thanks to the three 12AX7A (ECC83) preamp tubes. Three band EQ with presence control to dial in your favorite tone. The 2203x features the addition of a modern effects loop, allowing you to insert your favorite time-based effect (reverb, delay, chorus, flange, etc.) between the preamp and power amp sections. The effects loop also features a bypass switch. When switched to bypass mode you completely bypass the loop all together, keeping the amps tone untouched and effected by the loop.In 1975, Marshall released the original model 2203 head which produced 100 watts RMS from four EL34 output tubes. Later in 1981, Marshall introduced the JCM800 series version of the 2203, and redesigned the looks, adding the large Marshall logo and grille cloth over the front baffle. The electronics, however, remained unchanged. In 2002, Marshall re-released this great amp for 21st century guitarists.You've heard the original 2203 used by artists such as Eddie Van Halen (1981-90 'brown sound' era), Kerry King, and Zakk Wylde.
