Rare Bedrock Tube Guitar Amp Amp Auction Description: coopercorner Store Rare Bedrock Tube Guitar Amp Up for auction is a awesome Bedrock Guitar Amplifier. It is the most popular of the Bedrock Amps, 1200 series with the EL34 tubes and the 4 x 10 cabnet. It is in the original red snake skin. This amp ROCKS some serious sound!! I am not a amp expert and but had a average Amp guy check it out and it all seems good. I have a small clip below. The outside cover has the normal scraps and scuffs, nothing to bad, everything else appears great. I encourage questions from serious buyer and will do my best to answer them as accurately as possible. I will ship to the lower 48 via best way (Fed Ex freight, UPS, Grayhound, Courier etc) and it should be anywhere from $80 to $150 to most places. You will pay only cost for shipping expenses. The best way of course is for the buyer to pick it up. I will find the best method for shipment to your location on the Monday following the end of auction. The payment is expected within 72 hours or the last bidder will be contacted for option to purchase. This is a very fine piece of equipment and my intentions are to sell it as such, I have a 100% rating and have sold many items like this on ebay. The latest was a very rare Crown reel to reel that the customer was very pleased with. Bid with confidence. No Reserve, item will sell!!!! Thanks. From the Bedrock Tribute Page (http://bedrock27.tripod.com/id1.html)The 1200 series was my favorite Bedrock amp. It had a nice fat vintage type tone with some extra gain which really sounded good. Considering the time in which it came out - late 1980's - it totally flew in the face of all the high gain-multi channel-midi-rack stuff that dominated the market at the time. The 1200 series came in the following versions: 1200 Head - MSRP $1095 (1990) 1202 Combo - 2x12" speakers - MSRP $1245 (1990) 1204 Combo - 4x10" speakers - MSRP $1445 (1990) Eminence 'Bedrock' branded speakers were stock. Fane or Celestion speakers available at extra cost. These amps were rated at 50 watts, but they sure sounded a lot louder than 50 watts! A lot of that was due to the higher plate voltages and huge transformers used in them. Try to pick up a 1202 combo, these were seriously heavy amps! The amp was voiced with a lot of bottom end, they have a tendency to sound a little boomy with too much bass dialed up. They delivered a throaty, vintage-like tone with just enough added gain without sounding buzzy or fuzzy. The pull 'shift' added more mids and gain. I personally love this sound. The early production 1200's were point-to-point (PTP) wired on a epoxy board with turret lugs. If you can find one of these early ones, you've scored! Later ones used PCB circuit boards with flying leads and chassis mounted pots and tube sockets which were still built pretty rugged, especially compared to the flimsy crap made nowdays. These are really under-rated amps in today's market which stand up to a lot of the high priced boutique amps of today. Another cool reference: http://bedrock27.tripod.com/bedrockamp/id19.html We couldn't turn it up and record too, but it does turn up very well.
