Amp Auction Description: 1966 FENDER PRINCETON BLACKFACE GUITAR COMBO AMPVintage Fender, All Original Parts, RCA/Telefunken/Mullard Tubes, Sweet Tone!WORLDWIDE SHIPPING AVAILABLE!This is a 1966 Fender Princeton Blackface 12-Watt combo guitar amp. True all-tube tone in a portable package; keep the volume low and get spanky Fender clean, turn it up and get a nice smooth breakup The original Fender Princeton was introduced in 1947 and discontinued in 1979. Fender Princetons (as well as their sister amp the Princeton Reverb) are highly valued particularly as recording amplifiers. It is particularly famous as the basis for Mesa Boogie's Mark I, which is a heavily hotrodded Princeton. This Princeton uses a single 7025 dual triode in the preamplifier; a 12AX7 dual triode, one half of which operated a tremolo oscillator and the other half of which served as a split-load phase inverter; and two 6V6GT tubes in Class AB push-pull configuration in the power section to produce 12W RMS power. Features the classic Fender tremolo (vibrato) circuit. This amp is used but in very good condition given the age of the amp: just minor nicks in the toles and light oxidation on the metal parts. No cracks, dings or dents in the wood. The amp functions perfectly (no scratchy pots, no crackles or weird noises) and sounds absolutely fantastic. The tubes are a Mullard rectifier tube, two RCA 6V6 power tubes, and RCA/Telefunken preamp tubes. These tubes have been in there for a while, so I will also include a new set of 6V6 power tubes. Speaker is original and in excellent shape. 2-prong power cord is wrapped in tape (plastic was starting to fall apart). I can have the power cord swapped out to a new 3-prong cord for $20 prior to shipment if you like. The amp will be very well packed and fully insured.
