Amp Auction Description: Fender Vintage '59 Bassman LTD Reissue Bass Guitar Amp - NO RESERVE In the 1990s, Fender released an affordable reissue of the now-collectible '59 Bassman amplifier to massive acclaim. Many guitarists, tired of experimenting with preamps, equalizers, and effects racks, rediscovered the simple pleasure of plugging into a Fender tube amp. The Bassman's wide stage coverage, touch-sensitive dynamics and full-frequency 'swirl' make it the perfect vehicle for building a great tone with almost any guitar or effect. The reissue Bassman continues to be a staple of the Fender guitar amp line to this day. Sold with NO RESERVE this amplifier has been meticulously maintained and is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and electronically. Tubes are Svetlana/Winged 'C' 6L6's and Electro-Harmonix 12AX7's. This amp features the original four 'Blue' Eminence Alnico 10" Speakers that many consider sonically (and construction-wise) superior to the newer Jensen speakers. This amp also has the 'dummy' ground switch, now absent from the more recent re-issues. Also included is the original heavier Fender, "Made In The USA" fitted cover (brown) - also in perfect condition (not pictured). Sound-wise this amp has always been one of the greats and a personal favorite of mine. I'll hate to see it go but I just don't play much anymore and it deserves to be used by someone who will play the heck out of it because that's what it's built for. This amp is as solid as a rock and utterly dependable.
