Amp Auction Description: bbrupbacher Store Orange Rockerverb 50 MK1 Guitar Amp Head RK-50HGreat Condition w/ Footswitch Up for sale is my beloved Orange Rockerverb 50 MK 1 Head. Orange has done a great job with this line. It is truly a boutique amp that can cover almost any music style. It has that great vintage Orange tone and then some. The modern updates, like reverb and effects loop, really make this the perfect combination of great tone and versatility. In my opinion, no other major amp maker can hold a candle to this thing. I have owned Marshall JCM 800, 900, and 2000 heads, Mesa Rectifier and Stiletto heads and a few others and this has been my absolute favorite. But, all good things must come to an end. I am moving on to grad school and into a small apartment. I have made the very difficult decision to sell much of my gear to help pay for the cost of going back to school. This amp has approximately 70-80 hours on it. I'm not in a gigging band, so it has only been played at my smoke-free home at moderate volumes. If you are truly interested in bidding on this amp, you have probably spent some time listening to sound clips. I did the same thing before I bought it and I have to say that it is 100 times better in person. The clean channel is warm and lush and actually breaks up naturally past about 7 on the volume (very loud at that point). The gain channel is unreal. The distortion is so perfect. It ranges from mild overdrive up to metal territory. I can't believe how great it sounds. Even at max gain, it cleans up really well just using the volume on your guitar. Any guitar will sound unique and true through this amp. The 50 watt MK1 has four 6v6 tubes in the power section, unlike the MK2 which uses two EL34's. In my honest opinion, the 6v6's sound much sweeter. The designer of the Rockerverb, Adrian Emsley, even admitted that he prefers the 6v6 sound. The amp is an easy 9.5 out of 10 cosmetically. The only blemish is a very small nick in the tolex on the left side at the bottom. I didn't know it was there until I was taking pictures. The winning bidder will receive the amp head, power cord, a Boss footswitch that can be used to switch channels or toggle the reverb, and a cable to connect the footswitch to the amp. The amp still has the "Made in England" tag on it. Your freinds will think it's new!!Bidding starts at a dollar with no reserve. Just think, you could own this amp for a dollar (although I hope not). No reserve, so bid high and bid oftenShipping will be $40 to the 48 Contiguous US States (more to Alaska and Hawaii)I will ship to almost any international destination, but it will not be cheap.
