Amp Auction Description: Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special Short HeadFirst of all, this is the best CLEAN amp I've ever played and the reverb is nothing short of par with the tone. No BS, and no exaggeration. I bought this amp because of those features alone. Like all the Boogies I have had experience with, this one is built like a tank. There have never been any mods or repairs to this amp. The original tubes are still in it with no microphonics or hums. The overdrive is straight Boogie--BURNING HOT!! The cool feature of the overdrive is that you can drive it with even more saturation from the clean channel gain. This is especially nice when playing a single coil guitar or vintage output humbuckers. There is also tons of low end in this head so it is easy to get a full sound with any guitar.
