Amp Auction Description: 50 year old Gibson tweed tube amp!This is from the Skylark series with tremolo! it is in excellent condition and the handle is fine! This was my uncle's amp that he bought new from a music store in NYC. When he passed his wife gave me his amp. Amazing recording amp! This is a GA 5T model. and yes the Tremolo works! If you own a recording studio, you really need to consider owning this amp! Think Layla! Couple this amp with a SG and a Glass slide, and we are talking "live at Fillmore" tone! Two knobs.......Volume and Tremolo! Jensen speaker, it is either a 6" or 8" Alnico speaker!! This amp was a closet classic and was gone over by the late great Alex Micheloff from Allentown, PA- his custom built amps will rival any boutique amp on the market. He completely went over the amp, all tubes are fine and installed a 3 prong AC power cable so I would not get electrocuted!!! As I understand this is a Class A amp design!! I have recorded with the amp and it is the bomb!! Why pay $1200 for a Champ when you can own this amp for around a 1/3 of the price. Amp works 100% and will be insure when shipped.
