Amp Auction Description: This is my SECOND Two Rock sale on eBay this year- BID WITH CONFIDENCE!A little history of this specific amp. It lives in a smoke free, climate controlled studio, and has only ever traveled in a heavy duty 3/8 in road case (which is NOT included in the auction, but is available if the winner is interested). Serial #39 purchased new, from Two Rock directly, in 2008, and was a special order/upgrade for the vintage white cabinet at the time. This amp was built long before the Premier Builders Guild merger/buyout/affiliation. A true work of art. It has seen somewhere around 1400-1500 hours of play time, and has been routinely serviced by Humble Amps (www.humbleamps.com) every 3-4 months for new power tubes and cleaning. The tech at Humble Amps is a Dumble expert who works with many real deal Dumbles and has always cleared this amp with a clean bill of health. There has never been one issue or problem with this amp- not one blown fuse, tube, nothing. The last service was performed on 07/06/2011, about 3 weeks ago, where it was completely retubed front to back and biased. The current tubes are TAD GZ34 (Rectifier), TAD 6L6WGC (Power), and special ordered matched NOS RCA 12ax7 pre amp tubes for an amazing tonal combination in the preamp. BEST OF LUCK!!!From the Two Rock Website:The Classic Type 3 derives its soft, organic feel, response and articulation from a pair of GZ34 tube rectifiers.In addition, the 2 x 6L6 output section can operate in either Class A or A/B, further enhancing the characteristics provided by the power supply.The lead channel features an externally adjustable input gain trim control, allowing the player to select smooth overdriven tones or add more attack and bite if desired. A pair of contour controls have been added, independently offering a broad EQ sweep of both clean and lead modes. At the twelve o'clock position, the amp's frequency response is flat. Rotating the knob counter-clockwise, will decrease the highs and increase the lows, and vice-versa for clockwise movement. This is ideal for switching between single coils and humbuckers without touching other controls or compensating for different speaker cabinets. It's also a great way to compensate for room acoustics without changing your entire preamp EQ.The Classic Type 3 features Preamp Out and Power Amp In jacks, and does not have an internal buffered loop. Additional tone shaping features include a footswitchable FET preamp stage, 3 way preamp (negative) feedback switch, and 3 way output section (negative) feedback switch.
