Amp Auction Description: For Auction: Genz Benz GBE 1200 Bass amp. I'm re-listing as the local buyer never showed up. I have had the amp for about 10 months and it is an amazing amp. Power beyond belief and endless tonal possibilities! The amp is well built and can surely withstand the riggers of the road. I am consolidating my collection and one of my amps has to go since I've started playing guitar in my band. I purchased a 4 slot ozite (carpet material) rack enclosure for $200 which keeps the amp safe from dust, travel, etc. The amp has been in a smoke free studio and played out only twice during the 10 months so it is basically brand new. Comes with the 5 button foot switch. I am including the ozite rack case and the Korg DTR1000 rack mounted tuner in the auction price. DYNAMIC OUTPUT INTO "REACTIVE" REAL WORLD SPEAKER LOADSAn important and not commonly discussed specification is a power amp's ability to deliver rated power into a "reactive load". All speakers present a reactive load to the amplifier, reducing real world driving ability. Although speaker cabinets are usually rated as 8 or 4 ohms, this is a "nominal" impedance rating and in actuality can dip as much as 30%. Since speakers are not resistive loads but rather are highly "reactive", amplifiers must work even harder to drive them and will often prematurely trigger their protective limiting circuits - not so with GENZ BENZ bass amps!!
