Amp Auction: Original 1957 Fender Pro Amp (MODEL 5E5)The Holy Grail

Original 1957 Fender Pro Amp (MODEL 5E5)The Holy Grail Amp Auction Description: This is an original 1957 Fender Pro amp (MODEL 5E5), not a reissue. This is the 15" version of the Bassman. These are considered the "Holy Grail" of guitar amps and the model for Marshall amps and most other tube guitar amps that came after it. Everything is completely original except for the handle and two preamp tubes. The handle looks like it was fashioned out of a thick piece of leather sometime a long time ago. I would not recommend using the handle, but rather keep the amp in a road case if you're gigging. Given that this is an absolute original amp of collector quality, I would also recommend having the speaker reconed, if you intend to gig or record with it, as it has some buzzes at high volume. The 15" Jensen Alnico 5 had the original cone when I got it, which had dry-rotted a bit and come off the frame, and I was able to repair it to a point, but as I say, it does buzz at higher volumes. All electronics appear to be original, but if you know this amp, feel free to ask questions. The pots are pretty clean, but act a little differently than most tube amps I have. The first volume needs to be turned down if you're using channel two, or you'll lose gain and volume. Also, the bass pot adds mids when turned down. If you want to do more than keep this as a collector's item, it will have to be tweaked by a good amp tech, probably new capacitors. Fifty-three year old caps probably don't do exactly what they're supposed to at their age. The tweed covering was loose in spots, and it was glued with white glue to tidy it up a bit, but is actually in good shape. This is an antique and a collector's item; a piece of early electric guitar history. It should travel OK, but I would definitely have it insured for shipping. It works fine right now, but I can't insure that it will travel well as it's age, so I will not take any returns. Serial number S 01302 ( 1957)Controls- Presence, Bass, Treble, ON/OFF, Ground, (2) Volume (INSTRUMENT/MIC)4-1/4" Inputs15" Jensen Alnico 5 PM SpeakerTweed coveringChicken Head KnobsTubes- 5U4GA, (2) 6L6G, 12AU7, 12AX7, 12AY7*I accept Paypal and Visa, Mastercard, and Discover (I have my own credit card machine, so you don't need a Paypal account to buy with a credit card). On Nov-24-10 at 09:06:07 PST, seller added the following information: If you're planning on gigging/recording with this amp, you should buy a Jensen P15N reissue speaker or have this original speaker reconed, as it buzzes at all but the lowest of volumes. Also, the tube chart has the "X" in 12AX7 scratched-out and changed to a "U" and the "Y" in 12 AY7 changed to and "X". I think this may have been done at the Factory, as I seem to recall seeing this on another amp of the same vintage. I think all three preamp tubes installed are 12AX7s and at least one is probably original and maybe two. The other one is a Ruby 12AX7A. The power amp tubes and rectifier tube are original, as far as I know, although I can't verify this.

Amp Auction: ORANGE AD140 twin channel head W/footswitch

ORANGE AD140 twin channel head W/footswitch Amp Auction Description: Up for sell is my Orange AD140 twin channel head. I have had this amp for almost four year, and have taken VERY GOOD care of it, this amp has never been gigged just studio and practice uses only and has been kept in a smoke free studio. It is in perfect working order, with some light cosmetic wear. This amp comes with the FOOT-SWITCH, an orange instrument cable and the power cable. What can I say about this amp?? It is PERFECT!! CRYSTAL CLEAR clean, and with the twin channel you can get the perfect warm tube driven distortion from the gain. This is the LOUDEST amp I have ever heard, it can easily blare out the hardest playing drummers. This amp was dubbed "The best amplifier in the WORLD" by UK magazine Guitarist, and it lives up to its name. this amp is NO LONGER BEING MADE, witch makes it a rarity among desirable amps, this is a shame because in my opinion this the best amp Orange has ever made. Not packed with effects like the newer Orange amps. it was made to do just as the !!GUITAR GODS!! intended. the reason I'm selling this AMAZING amp is it is simply TO MUCH for me, it needs to go to a home where it can be used to its full capabilities. I'm kind of afraid to see it go, who knows if I'll ever have a chance to get myself another one day. but holding on to it wouldn't be fair to the amp. it needs to be loved FULLY. so GOOD LUCK and happy bidding. If you have any Questions do not hesitate to ASK. Thank You!To see features and Info about the AD140htc: http://www.guitar.com.au/amplifiers/electric/orange/adtc_series_ad140htc.html

Amp Auction: CARVIN MTS 3200 MASTER TUBE SERIES 100 WATT AMP HEAD

CARVIN MTS 3200 MASTER TUBE SERIES 100 WATT AMP HEAD Amp Auction Description: CARVIN MTS 3200 MASTER TUBE SERIES 100 WATT AMP HEADGreat Condition!!The Carvin MTS 3200 head was created to be among the best in the industry. In order to attempt this feat, they built an all tube amp with no IC's or transistors. Five 12AX7 pre-amp tubes and four 5881 (6L6GC) power tubes come standard on the MTS 3200, but an external Bias Switch on the back of the amp allows you to use four EL34 power tubes if that would suit your sound better. The amp has an ultra-high input impedance and precise component layout and lead placement to prevent high frequency loss. At full power the amp runs at 100 watts, but a switch on the back of the amp allows you to run only two tubes for 50 watts of power. This change will only reduce volume by 3 decibels. The MTS 3200 has two channels: Lead and Clean. The Lead Channel has controls for Volume, Bass, Treble, and Mid EQ, Presence, and Drive. The Presence is set to a mid-frequency range, and lets you control the amount of clarity you want in your tone. The Drive control allows you to set how much gain you want. The Clean Channel simply has controls for Volume, Bass, Treble, and Mid EQ, and Presence. On the Clean Channel, the Presence switch adds acoustic voicing in the highest 10k Hz range, as compared to the usual 3k Hz of a bright switch.NO rips or tears No issues If you are not happy with this amp, you are welcome to return it for a refund.BID NOW!IF YOU ARE BIDDING OUTSIDE THE U.S.A. Amp Auction: Orange Tiny Terror Guitar Amplifier

Orange Tiny Terror Guitar Amplifier Amp Auction Description: Hi. I'm selling an "as new" Orange Tiny Terror amp. I bought this brand new from Humbucker Music in Oglethorpe Georgia on April 7, 2007. As I recall, it was one of the earlier shipments that they had received on these shortly after Orange started producing them. I have the original invoice which I will include. I paid $549.99. This is a Korean made unit as Orange has now moved production of these to China. It has been played no more than 1 hour total and has never left the house. It comes with the original Orange box/packaging and padded carrying case. I'm a middle aged guitar hobbyist...you will not find a less used example anywhere. I've run this through everything from a Mesa Boogie 4x12 Rectifier Cab to an Orange 1x12 and it sounds great...I was blown away by how loud it is. Just trying to clear some space and saving for a Taylor 814CE. Low reserve. Please let me know if you should have questions. Thanks for looking. Will ship only within the domestic United States.

Amp Auction: Elgen Lead amp plexi rare humble pie 100 super clean!

Elgen Lead amp plexi rare humble pie 100 super clean! Amp Auction Description: Elgen 100 watt amp circa 1970 as used by humble pie! Very rare think with a plastic overlay over the front and back...very early production. This amp was serviced in 01 and has been great ever since. Partridge trannys, 4 el-34's and 12 ax7 preamps. Nice control layout with the Boost feature that is really like the boost on a vampower..it is a primitive overdrive/master volume circuit. This amp absolutely kills...and really overdrives. I was intent on not selling, but really have to thin out some stuff and I don't play loud anymore! Go to plexi palace website and view elgen for some gut shots of the amp. All original as far as I can tell. It is 240 volt, but there is a tap on the transformer i have not tried to fiqure out...maybee the 120 volt tap? Anyway, you will need a step up to run it. Now for the important stuff. Ask questions BEFORE bidding as all sales are FINAL....All items are AS IS WHERE IS with no implied or guaranteed warranty....this is electrical equipment. I represent my stuff accurately...see my feedback if you are worried. Winning bidder to contact me within 24 hours of winning or it gets relisted....too many folks bid and walk away. Payment is expected in 7 days. I accept paypal, visa, mc, amex, and checks. Pickup is ok if you are in Germantown, TN. I ship with US postal service or fed ex ground. I ship to verified addresses only. I pack well and ship promptly. I also insure my items or they don't ship. I ship internationally, but buyer pays all duties, shipping and taxes. Amp Auction: VINTAGE JOSE ARREDONDO MODIFIED MARSHALL JCM 800 2203!!

VINTAGE JOSE ARREDONDO MODIFIED MARSHALL JCM 800 2203!! Amp Auction Description: Hello - this posting is for one of the rarest and most sought after guitar amplifiers in the world!!!An original vintage 1982 marshall jcm 800 2203 that was modified by the late and legendary Jose Arredondo!Jose is of course best known for working on Eddie Van Halen's amps and was known as the Wizard of tone by many guitar legends.Several satisfied customers of Jose's included James Hetfield, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, John Sykes, yngwie malmsteen, Peter Framton, Mick Mars, Jake E Lee and many others. There's a reason that all of these guitar players had incredible tone! They are all great playersand they all had Marshall's modified by Jose Arredondo plugged in behind them. This on even still has the old "ARRCO ELECTRONICS MUSIC STUDIO" sticker attached to the back of the amp.Arrco was of course Jose's shop, though he actually did most of the work on these amps at home in his garage.Jose passed away some years ago and with him went most if not all of his secrets! This particular amp is absoloutely unbelievable! I own literally over 50 old marshalls and nothing sounds like this amp. This one is truly a piece of history as well... it's been used on numerous platinum selling albums as well as being one of the amps that toured with one of the artist's listed above. This one still has the "computer graphic stickers" attached on the front of the amp. It did have some other stickers as wellat one time. Including a no bozo's sticker around 1984...:)This amazing head is a great example of what Jose did as modifications and features nearlyevery mod Jose did on these incredible amps. Here's a list....Standby remote switch, full bypass buffered fx loop, extra pre amp for gain, both channels have push/pull pots for added gain stages, MVC master control knob on the front and attenuator master vol, ability to blend both channels at the same time, pre amp out,Special Jose "GAIN" imput for the ultimate modded Marshall sound youll ever hear. I've only seen a handful of actual Jose Arredondo modified Marshalls in my life, and of course anyone who has one will never EVER part with it.I saw one on auction a few years back and it went for an astronomical amount of money. Plain and simple there just arent many of these amps around. And they never come up for sale. If someone owns one thers a reason it's not for sale... you'll never get it back. They are too good! so here's your chance... someone is not only going to own the guitar amp of a lifetime, but also a piece of music history.Good luck everyone... I actually feel sick to my stomach knowing I'm letting this amp go, but the economic times force it's sale. Thanks for looking and once again Good Luck Everyone!
