Amp Auction: Marshall Vintage Modern 2466 100 Watt Head

Amp Auction Description: Mint condition Vintage Modern 2466 100 Watt head! Purple color tolex, effects loop, reverb, original kt66 power tubes ( amp only has about 12 hours use in 2 years!). This amp has one channel, but acts as if it has 2! Heres how it works-it has a high dynamic range and a low dynamic range. High dynamic setting gives you the higher gain-you can get a pretty good "sag" (like an early VH sound) and no footpedals needed! Low dynamic can give you a decent clean by just rolling your guitar volume down a bit. So, by using the footswitch(included) you can go from a nice higher gain and switch to low dynamic and get a good clean by backing off your guitar volume! It's almost like having a JCM 800 and being able to use both high and low inputs, and switching them with a footswitch. Reverb is also footswitchable. Mid-boost switch tightens things up and adds a bit of gain. The gains are seperate in that you have a high tone stack gain and a lower tone stack gain. By mixing the two you dial in your tone! Even though this is a 100 watt amp I find that it distorts the power tubes pretty well at about 3-4 and the volume isn't ear-splitting like my old plexi. No reserve auction-check my feedback! Amp Auction: 1965 SUPRO THUNDERBOLT AMPLIFIER Extremely Minty!!!

Amp Auction Description: Up for your consideration is a Minty 1965 Valco Supro Thunderbolt amplifier. Hands down my favorite since I bought it several years ago. I am getting married and combining households and must make room in the studio for some other items. "Tone don't feed kids"!!! This has always been my go to Thunderbolt, just an amazingly simple beast with an extremely balanced tone that can really be dialed in with just simply tone and volume. This one is all original and sounds fantastic, the best one I have ever owned and I have been through a bunch. There is one tiny pick on the grill cloth but that's really it cosmetically. This one has always been kept in a smoke free, climate controlled studio environment with not many hours on her and I am the 2nd owner as you can see, amazing condition. This is the finest example that I have ever played, it will just scream and roar and the bottom end and overtones are really fat and incredible, no other compares to this one! Speaker sounds fantastic and the code is 7747 220518...550 15S C15 PS C7747. The tube line up on this Thunderbolt is 2 12Ax7, 2 6L6, 1 5U4, a great tube line up in a simple amp. If you are looking at this amplifier you know all the hype about them but I can say this is the finest example I have ever come across. Absolutely amazing condition!!! I am starting this one low with a very reasonable reserve for this condition. Those of you that have followed my amps on here for years well here is another cream of the crop that I have been saving and now I am forced to sell due to combining households and getting married, I hate to get rid of this one!!!
