Amp Auction: Marshall Mode Four MF350 W/Foot Controler Case & Extras

Amp Auction Description: Here is my Marshall mode four or MF350. This is a great underrated amp, which means you get a LOT for the money. It works like two amps in one, the first, channel 1 and 2 being more vintage and the second, channel 3 and 4 being a modern sound with tons of gain and a control to tighten or loosen up the bass response. I bought this a few years back when I was playing in a hardcore band, and it pulls that sound off easy with lots of punch and gain... I played it through a 1960a running the 75 watt celestion GT12-75s and it sounded awesome, not nearly as muddy as with the matching MF Cab... I think that cab is a lot of why this amp kinda has a reputation as a one trick pony. But the truth is I've used this amp on several recordings of more ambient projects and live with rock and pop bands and if you take the time to really learn your way around the amp with the sweet spots it's actually quite usable. I replaced the preamplifier tubes a while back to get a softer, mellow tone out of the gain circuit so I use it more like a three channel amp, cause when I get channel one where I want it channel two is deafening... But three and four are perfect, and four still has plenty of gain and saturation. I do still have the EHX tubes it came with so I'll throw those in. I also have the original factory box, I think... I'll throw that in too. As you can see in the pics I have an after market power and foot controller cable these are much longer than the stock that way you can be a little more flexible with where your gear sits. I'm also including a road case that I bought new for $275. It's got wheels and handles so it makes it a lot easier to get around and keeps the head looking like new. It's also got a handy pocket in the front to hold the included foot controller and cables. I'm also throwing in a high quality monster speaker cable... So you basically just need a cab to play through and you're set. A few cool things about the amp, it has an XLR out in the back so you can record or run to the house straight from the head. And it has a pretty cool effects loop that you can dial in exactly how much you want on each amp.I think that's pretty much everything, buyer will pay actual shipping, please try and pay as soon after the auction as possible, if I get payment soon enough I'll get the amp in the mail this weekend, Monday at the latest, again depending on how long it takes to get in the mail. Amp Auction Description: Late '90's Reverend Hellhound 40/60 watt all tube amp.Brand new 6L6 tubes matched for maximum tone.Amp is in excellent shape. No Tolex tears and just a bit of wear to the grill cloth.No international sales. Lower 48 USA only. The Hellhound is a single channel with a Schizo switch that toggles between UK (up position) and US settings. UK gives an upper midrange boost and more drive for British tones, and US gives you crystal clear American tones. Following the Schizo switch is gain, volume, treble, mid, bass, presence and reverb. Electro-Harmonix tubes are used throughout: two 12AX7's in the pre-amp, 12AX7 reverb driver, 12AX7 phase inverter and two 6L6 power tubes. On the back panel reside 4, 8 and 16 ohms speaker outputs, effects loop, and the wattage switch that goes from 40 to 60 watts for extra headroom when needed. In the 40 watt mode there is still more than enough power. Speakers: The Hellhound uses a Joe Naylor designed 12" Reverend All-Tone 1250 speaker made exclusively for Reverend. The hybrid design uses a British cone for smooth overdrive, but with a small 1-1/2" voice coil for chimey clean tones. The speaker is mounted in an all-plywood, open back cabinet.Joe Naylor contacted Dennis Kager to design the circuit. Most people know Dennis from his employment with mid-60's Ampeg, and as a consultant for many other major amp manufacturers. First, Joe told him the type of sound he was looking for-- the ultimate bluesy sounding amp that also works for classic rock, but not to much gain. Do not expect it to sound like a Mesa Boogie. After the right sound was achieved, Joe then took advantage of Dennis repair shop knowledge. Dennis made sure to use reliable parts and construction methods. Anything he saw fail in the shop would not be in the amp. Good for you, bad for him--he won't be seeing too many of these amps in for repair. Ceramic power and pre-amp tube sockets are mounted directly to the Hellhound's steel chassis. There are separate glass-epoxy PC boards for the pre-amp and power sections, for easier service if ever needed. The ceramic tube sockets, jacks, and switches are all hand-wired and chassis mounted for reliability and easy maintenance. The tubes are easily accessible for changing, but they are also well protected.

Amp Auction: Krank Revolution Guitar Tube Amplifier

Amp Auction Description: Ok Rockers, do you want to be the best sounding in your band? This head is incredible. It boasts 100 watts of all tube power. There is a clean channel and a Krank Channel. The Krank channel has also two different master volumes that are switchable for lead and rythm playing. If you are into hard rock, metal, death metal, or thrash this will get the job done. If you are into milder rock it will do this too just by turning the gain down. I bought this head new and its never left my studio. It is in perfect condition and comes with foot switch. There is not a mark on it. I did have a filter choke installed in the pre amp stage instead of the factory installed resistor. This head is dead quiet. Kranked, its silent untill you hit a cord. This is one way to determine if an amp is a good amp or not. Built professionally using the best components, and being a tone junkie I am, I did contact Mercury Magnetics to see if they had any upgrades.. their answer was not at the moment. I took that as "the amp is as good as it can be at this time".I will say after owning many high gain amps, this one definitely stands out. Loads of tone for days and it is consistent with hours of play. Tubes have few hours and should last many more hours of use. Everything works as it should, no issues whatsoever. These heads sell in stores for around $1599.00. Here you have have this one for much less. Not giving it away, (sorry bargain hunters) yet its reserve is low enough that its still a bargain. If you bought a brand new one it wouldnt be any better condition than this one. I'm the second owner but I bought this from the original owner while it was almost brand new [he played it just a couple of times as it was bought as a back-up]. And it's remained cherry ever since. This is a great little gigging amp as it has "serious" power for it's size. 45 watts [conservative rating] from [4] EL84's make this little locomotive chug. This will go from Fender-like chimey to brutal crunch at the touch of a button. [4] 12AX7's in the pre-amp section give it 3 modes into 2 channels [footswitchable] with independant gain and master for each channel. Comes with bass, middle, treble and reverb [spring reverb]. The power section is the same "DYNA-WATT" class as the DC-3. It responds to your touch almost like a class A. Also has parallel FX loop w/ mix control, record/headphone out, multi-speaker output configuration, and silent record mute switch. Comes with original 3 button footswitch and vynil slipcover. Has the original Celestion [0 Custom 9] 12 inch speaker. This is your basic 'Have Tone - Will Travel set-up. You can find your personal sweet spot with this little cutie. And since this has been discontinued, it's a collectors item as well. Of all the amps I've owned, this has been my personal favorite. I hate to sell it, but times being what they are...well. Amp Auction: Used Orange 4x12 Speaker Cabinet

Amp Auction Description: This is a used Orange 4x12 cabinet that I must regretfully see go. I'm short on money for college this fall and I don't need a cabinet this big anymore. The cab is three years old and has some tears in the tolex from handling without the pleasure of a road case, but none of the mars effect the look of the cab. There is, however, a scratch along the front of the name plate, but again, you can barely notice it. The thing weighs about 100 lbs. and is louder than hell. Amp Auction: SOUND CITY 120R AMPLIFIER

Amp Auction Description: You are bidding on a used Sound City 120R Amplifier. This is a big powerful vintage amplifier. This belonged to a guy in a band I used to do sound for years back. I got this in trade for sound work. I have had it on the shelf for ever. I do not play so it is one of those items that needs to move on. It is a complete working amplifier. I took this to a pro repair shop in Columbus Ohio where the owner used to work on these as an authorized repair center. He went through this top to bottom. We saved 3 of the original Mullard EL34 tubes that were still in good working condition and matching we installed three matching EL34 Groove Tubes biased it cleaned some pots,tube sockets etc. and it is good to go.All the preamp tubes look as if they are original they are the pinched glass type with all EC#s The original owner was a tech guy so he did a good job of maintaining it and it is not moded it probably has a replaced part here and there over the years but over all is pretty much original. It is missing one original knob on the reverb control I installed the black one in the picture. I have done some searching on line and I see a lot of conjecture as to what these were as original verses parts changed moded etc. I tried to get nice descriptive pictures so you can be the judge. As I said this is a working unit and could go do a gig tonight. That being said if you were to retube the whole thing with all new tubes a few trick caps etc.you could make it better and you will have one hell of an amp when finished.Sense I was selling it I did not put all new tubes in it. I know tube brands and style are a personal thing so I will leave that up to you if you feel the need. The case has a few nicks but overall very clean for a item of its age. It even has the original clear plastic cover (the cover is very yellowed an a little frayed but it comes with the deal). The chassis is in good condition a little tarnished but not bent or rusted or new holes drilled in it. If you ever wanted one of these here is one complete and working. This auction is only for the described head no speaker cabinet is included. This unit weighs in at just over 50 Lbs. so with careful packing we are talking about 60 Lbs shipping weight.You will pay only actual shipping cost and insurance.
